Shelf Village Hall 1850ish.

This is not a postcard but simply a page out of an old book.

It shows Shelf village hall in the 1850s.

The Hall was used in the Second World War to keep Italian Prisoners of War.

Underneath the advert is a coloured version.

We extracted the image out of the advert and one of the staff coloured it in on their smoke break.

Shelf Village Hall.

Underneath is a paragraph extracted from of an old book, when you read it, it will make you feel sad that the powers that be are so ruthless as to destroy places like this.

Destruction.

and yet they knocked it down.......................underneath is a Postcard dated 1908.

In pencil.

This is the original Hall that was at the top end of the Park at the other side of the Stream.
