Shelf Village Hall 1850s.

This image was taken out of an old book and then coloured in to make it stand out a bit more.

Someone is pushing the swing but there is nobody in it, the girl in the boat is waiting for someone to join her, there is a tent in the garden maybe the owners are allowing their children to camp out for the night, the ducks in the pond are bemused by it all. It is a superb engraving of old Shelf Village Hall and its surroundings.

and underneath is the earlier Shelf Hall which was situated over the Stream nearer the top of the Park.
